Registered Massage Therapist
Lara Boucher
A love for anatomy and fascination with the human body’s potential is what drew Lara to massage therapy. In her pre-RMT life, Lara dedicated all her energy to being a highly competitive contemporary ballet dancer, and in her practice, gets great pleasure in assisting other fellow dancers and movers! As an RMT, Lara has had the opportunity to work with high level track and field athletes and as a member of the wellness team for the BC Bike Race. Today, Lara’s practice is very diverse – assisting those recovering from motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries or orthopedic surgeries, coping with changes during pregnancy, or managing chronic or persistent pain conditions.
Lara believes that massage therapy can be a great facilitator in aiding your body with it’s natural healing process. Treatments will vary greatly depending on the patient; massage therapy modalities, depth of pressure being used, and treatment goals are always aspects that will be tailored to the individual. In her treatment room, Lara’s goal is to provide a calm, safe and inclusive environment for all patients, and her emphasis is on building strong therapeutic relationships.
Lara looks forward to helping you return to doing the activities that you love!

Matthew Halverson
Matt’s passion for health and athletics led him to pursue Paramedics, Personal Training, and Registered Massage Therapy. Through this diverse education, Matt acquired a strong understanding of both the mechanism and physiological response to injury and rehabilitation.
He has worked with active patients ranging from weekend warriors to professional and national level athletes, highlighted by his work with the BC Lions, Vancouver Whitecaps, Maple Ridge Burrards, Team Canada Ballhockey, the 2010 Vancouver Paralympics and the Cayman Islands National Team.
Matt was also a respected member of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy faculty for 4 years where, while teaching courses in anatomy, kinesiology, assessment, pathology, orthopedics and neurology, he helped aspiring massage therapy students to improve their practical massage skills as well as develop their assessment and clinical reasoning.
Through this experience, he believes active rehabilitation, including exercise, and stretching along with manual and massage techniques are crucial pieces to a successful and complete recovery. Matt’s focus is to not only reduce your pain, but to also get you back to enjoying the activities that currently give you discomfort.
Matt most recently spent three years with the Campbell River Storm as their athletic trainer / manual therapist.
